TEAM boss Cami Brown was “ecstatic” with an opening win at Edinburgh.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers grabbed a 47-43 victory in the Scottish Cup at Armadale on Friday night.
Chris Harris and Dan Thompson took the all-important heat advantage in Heat 15 to wrap up the result.
Brown said: “I’m ecstatic. It’s a really strong opening win for the boys.
“We lost Ashton Boughen through injury but we had so much firepower.
“Dan was sensational all night with four straight wins and Chris is always outstanding. But Kyle Howarth was also excellent from start to finish.
“I have to give a special mention for young Max Perry who produced several crucial battling rides to get important points for us.
“I’m delighted for the red and white army on the third bend. Our fans have been fantastic and they made so much noise. They love a win over the Monarchs.
“We had to dig in a bit at times but we got stronger in the latter stages big time. I was delighted with the team spirit as well, a really great start.”
