TIGERS BEGIN WITH BANDITS BATTLE

GLASGOW’S new season will begin with red-hot clashes with Berwick.

The Allied Vehicles Tigers face the new-look Bandits in the opening BSN Series head-to-head at Ashfield on Good Friday, April 18.

That will be followed 24 hours later with a return trip to Shielfield Park. The always much-awaited local derby with Edinburgh takes place six days later at Armadale on April 25.

The prestigious SGP2 Qualifier is at Ashfield on Saturday, May 24 while the highly-exciting British Under-21 Championship date is to be set in due course.

The Allied Vehicles Tigers’ bid to regain the Championship league title with an opening fixture at Plymouth on May 16. The first home league fixture is against reigning champions Poole on June 6.

Team boss Cami Brown admits: “There’s always a special buzz about the fixtures being released. It feels like the season is getting close, especially now that we are into 2025.

“There are so many huge fixtures to look forward to. Starting with Berwick looks a mouthwatering proposition with their excellent side for this season.

“Obviously the Edinburgh local derbies are the meetings all the fans look forward to. We’ve not got long to wait for them.

“Then Tigers fans can get excited about the SGP2 Qualifier which will undoubtedly be a huge event for Ashfield.

“We have a super-tough start to the Championship with visits to Plymouth and Scunthorpe and then Poole at home in early June. That’s going to be a massive meeting, as they always are now with the Pirates.

“We cannot wait to get going. We have a great side for 2025 so roll on April!”
