TEAM boss Cami Brown wants his side to return “with a bang” to Ashfield.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers haven’t raced on their home track for seven weeks due to two rained-off fixtures.
Now they face Oxford at Ashfield on Friday night having gone top of the Cab Direct Championship with two vital away victories.
Brown said: “It’s not ideal at all to have such a big break from home meetings. It’s almost like the season is starting again.
“We’ve just got to keep building on the two excellent away results. There are now a run of home meetings on the bounce in July. We need to win them all to stay in that top four of the table. I want us to come back to Ashfield with a bang.
“The boys have really stepped it up over the past two or three weeks. I felt we had an extra level once every rider clicked on the same night and that has been the case.
“But that means nothing at the moment. We need to stay in the top four of the league table. Every point is going to count over the next two months.
“We’ve also got a switch in order for the team. Kyle (Howarth) goes to No.1, Leon (Flint) to No.5 and Chris (Harris) at No.3.
“It’s the first time Chris has left the top spot since returning to Glasgow in 2023. He’s had a less consistent start to this season but also underlines how good Kyle has been.
“Chris will want the No.1 racejacket back, that’s for sure. But it will be fascinating to see how our new line-up works.”
