Following the excitement and terrific racing served up last Sunday against Berwick, all attention is now very much focused on this Sunday and the first home Scottish derby of the season.
There may have been lots of changes on both sides of the country since the teams last clashed at Ashfield, however the prospect of staging the latest chapter in the oldest City speedway derby in the world is one well worth looking forward to.
The speedway experts, and the consensus of supporters around the country, would suggest that the Monarchs will go very close in challenging for the Premier League this year. There is a distinct air of self-confidence and high expectation within the Monarchs camp itself and amongst their supporters, and little wonder given the strong look and potential their side has.
There is no doubt about it our boys are really up against it on Sunday. It is probably fair to say that, even at Ashfield, the Monarchs will start as BIG favourites on Sunday – and actually, that suits us down to the ground.
Tigers look set to welcome back Harley Horwood, who has responded very well to physio treatment this week, to the side making his home debut.
Having shown some terrific battling qualities to overcome Berwick, this Sunday is a challenge that the Tigers are relishing and one that the riders are highly focused on.
Of course both sides met last weekend at Armadale, however this is a new day and on our own track and that makes it much harder to call.

Whatever happens on Sunday, it is bound to throw up lots of talking points, lots of thrills and lots of entertainment – we look forward to welcoming a large and enthusiastic travelling contingent from the East.
This meeting is not to be missed, it has all the ingredients of a Scottish speedway classic!
