A fortnight on from offering a poor overall home team performance, this Sunday the Allied Vehicles Tigers’ are aiming to deliver their best home performance of the season, as that’s what it will take if Glasgow are to overturn Newcastle’s 16 point lead from our Knock Out Cup Quarter-Final 1st leg tie.
Both teams faced one another in a Premier League meeting at Ashfield just 5 weeks ago with the home side winning by just 3 points that day after the Diamonds’ lost the services of two riders through injury.
Newcastle will believe that their potent spearhead of Danny King, Stuart Robson and Ludvig Lindgren, supported by young gun Lewis Kerr, will have enough heat wins in them to see the Diamonds’ safely through to the next round, however several of the Tigers’ riders have come on to some improved form over the past month and with Victor Palovaara now down at reserve the dynamics of Sunday’s quarter-final clash are quite different.
With both club’s no longer involved in the Premier League title chase the Knock-Out Cup remains the only chance of some national silverware this season, that alone will ensure that Sunday’s encounter will guarantee plenty of hard fought, fast and furious action with Glasgow having to chase the points and Newcastle happy to defend them.

All the Ashfield action gets underway at 5pm remember, with gates open from 4pm.

End of Season Dinner Dance (Saturday 18th October)
Tickets should be available for collection at the stadium on Sunday; if you are due to settle the balance of your tickets then please arrange to do so this week if possible.
