GLASGOW boss Cami Brown admits it’s a huge boost with a return of Dan Thompson and new signing Villads Nagel.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers take on Plymouth in the Cab Direct Champion at Ashfield tonight (Friday, 7.30pm).
Thompson, who broke his scaphoid a month ago, came through a late fitness test last night with a practice at the stadium.
New Danish star Nagel was also on track and Brown is excited by the prospect of both being in action against the Gladiators.
He said: “There does feel like there’s been a lull in our campaign recently. On top of that, losing Dan definitely knocked us out of our stride.
“But this is an exciting night for the club with new signing Villads and Dan set to return.
“We just want Dan to make a steady comeback and gradually race himself back to match fitness.
“Hopefully we can now get some momentum with a good flow of home fixtures. This is only our fifth home team meeting this season.
“After the frustration of losing to Poole, the Gladiators are also tricky opposition. The likes of Nicolai Klindt, Ben Barker and Joe Thompson are all capable of big double figures scores.
“Our home form hasn’t been good enough. I’m struggling to remember the last time we really hit a big score and didn’t have a sweat. We just don’t dominate meetings and that needs to change.”
