Tigers fans were treated to a great event on Friday, 4th March with Sky Sports speedway presenters Nigel Pearson and Kelvin Tatum.
The pair of pundits entertained the sold-out crowd, recounting stories of their time on the road commentating on international speedway. Kelv also looked back on his time as one of the UK’s top speedway riders and the duo even roped audience members into some speedway commentating, making for some top speedway related entertainment!
The evening provided Tigers fans their first opportunity to meet new recruits for 2016 with Ben Barker, Coty Garcia, Nike Luna and Danny Ayres in attendance. The guys answered questions on how they felt about the coming season, how pre-season preparations were going and predictions for the Premier League campaign ahead.
Also there was returning captain and firm fan favourite Aaron Summers, who was quizzed on how he felt about his new team mates, his off-season training and his confidence ahead of the coming campaign.
Club owner Gerry Facenna and team manager Stewart Dickson were also interviewed in front of the packed crowd, providing fans with updates on plans for the future and further stadium developments. A few lucky fans got their hands on some top Tigers items in the auction as some heated bidding took place for coveted memorabilia.
All and all a fantastic night which had everyone revving and ready to go for March 27th!
