TEAM boss Cami Brown has urged new signing Jack Smith to “kick on” and progress.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers have confirmed that the Cheshire racer will re-join the club to replace Lee Complin.
Smith, 25, is an asset of the Tigers and has already been a huge success covering as a guest at reserve for over a month.
Brown said: “It was a fairly obvious move for us to secure Jack on a permanent basis.
“He’s done a fabulous job as a guest covering for Lee after he had been suspended.
“To be honest Jack was our match winner in the home meetings with Oxford and Workington. It’s a very important role in the team and we need those sort of scores from Jack.
“We know he’s capable of that and probably a lot more. Jack’s away form will also be pivotal for the success of the team.
“He’s now a very experienced lad. This is his third stint in the Tigers team and we want him to kick on and show what ability he has got.”
Tigers face Redcar on Friday at Ashfield before two vital away meetings at Edinburgh on May 31 in the BSN Series group decider. Then it’s a trip to Redcar in the Cab Direct Championship on June 1.
Brown added: “Jack joins up in a really important week. We need a good win at home to Redcar before the local derby at Armadale.
“Then it’s back to Redcar which is one of Jack’s former clubs.
“The good thing is that he’s not really a new rider. We needed a settled team and we have to get some momentum together now.”
