Onwards and upwards.
We have all been in this position before, things not quite going right for us on track and results going against us. Things always bottom out though and then start to improve.
We will certainly be heading to Ipswich (tomorrow) and Scunthorpe (Friday) believing that, if we ride well, we can push the home sides close and look to take something from the meeting.
We need to treat every meeting as a new day and a new opportunity. With the combined talent and vast experience between Joe Screen, James Grieves, Andre Compton and Henning Bager we have the capability to match home heat leaders and take the team some way towards achieving a target result. Joe Jacobs, Joey Ringwood and Jonas Raun are also perfectly capable of finding conditions to their liking and grabbing valuable points to the team tally.
League tables, and form books, do not always count when it comes to determining just how hard fought a speedway meeting will be.
It is true to say that we have been having a tough time in recent weeks, however we have made two team changes and must find a positive reaction to that which takes us forward. We have only had one meeting with our new line up in place, and that is far too soon to make any telling or fair assessment as to how effective these have been.
Independent of how we fair on the road this week, the Tigers will roll up our sleeves on Sunday and defend our home pride against Ipswich, led by GB World Cup candidate Ben Barker who is on excellent and dominant form at the moment. He is a racer in the same mould as our own Joe Screen, their on track clashes this Sunday will be something special.
So our message is, positive, positive, positive …try it for yourself.
