GLASGOW boss Cami Brown believes the clash with Edinburgh will be “massive” for the club.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers go to Armadale tonight in a crucial Championship encounter between the old rivals.
Brown expects it to be another tough encounter against a new-look Monarchs side.
He said: “It was important to get the strong win over Birmingham last week. The entire team looked back on song. The ideal way to prepare for Edinburgh.
“It’s a massive meeting at Armadale. We spoke to the boys, that’s our killing ground, we’ve got to go there are get a victory.
“That would really kick start our league campaign. We’ve had a lot less meetings than other teams. Two positive results against the Monarchs would be massive this week and then at Ashfield next Friday.
“It will be tough. Just because Edinburgh have lost a couple of home meetings means nothing. They will ride out of their skins against us, you can be sure of that.
“They will have a new signing Bastian Borke in and they will want that to give them a bounce in confidence. They’ll be very strong again.”
Captain Tom Brennan also warns of an Edinburgh team determined to get their season back on track.
He added: “It’s a local derby like no other really. They will be fired-up that’s for sure.
“We didn’t ride that well there in our first meeting of the season so we know we have to do better.”
