GLASGOW’S Marcin Nowak admits he is “happy and proud” of all the team for winning the Championship title.
The Leszno-born star had to leave the Allied Vehicles Tigers after being recalled to his Polish club in mid-August.
But Nowak, 28, revealed he avidly followed the team’s results and was delighted to see them win the league at Poole earlier this month.
He said: “I was watching the scores from Poole on live updates in Poland.
“I just happy for the team, I had my fingers crossed for a really positive score before this meeting.
“I know how much Cami Brown and the Facenna family wanted to win the league.
“Of course this is another historic win for Glasgow. I’m very happy and proud of all team!
“It was fantastic to be part of Glasgow Tigers in this beautiful season. I don’t have a medal yet but I didn’t race in the Play-Offs and this is not my win. This is a win for the team that started in the Play-Offs.”
Nowak admits he was devastated to have to leave the Tigers but finished the season on a high for his Polish club Stal Rzeszów.
He added: “When I started in Glasgow it was my dream come true. I remember when I was young and watching British speedway on television, I always wanted to race there.
“The decision to leave the club was very difficult for me because I love the Glasgow people, the spirit in the stadium is fantastic!”
