GLASGOW’S new pole Marcin Nowak says he “can’t wait” to race for the Tigers as he prepares to make his debut in the red and white.
The 26-year-old joins the club at reserve in place of Justin Sedgmen, and will make his bow in the home match with Plymouth on Friday.
He was introduced to fans at Ashfield last Sunday and impressed with four laps on board Craig Cook’s bike.
He said: “I can’t wait to race for Glasgow and it was good to meet the fans and riders on Sunday. My season has finished in Poland so this is a good chance for me to show what I can do in Britain.
“I’ve only watched Championship on YouTube, I don’t know much about this league. But this is a good place to learn speedway. The tracks are different in the UK and I need this to get more experience.
“I spoke to many other riders about Glasgow in Poland, everyone told me that this was a good decision, this is a good club.
“This is for the progress in my career. My dream is to be world champion. I have two legs, two arms and I have same chance to achieve this as anyone else if I work very hard.
“It was so good to see the fans last Sunday now I hope they see me do well on the track.”
Plymouth boast the likes of three-times world champion Jason Crump and former Danish international Bjarne Pedersen.
Tigers currently sit third in the SGB Championship – eight behind Redcar with two meetings in hand.
