TENACIOUS Tom Brennan insists he is ready to help spearhead Glasgow’s attack in one of their biggest weekends of the year.
The 20-year-old has assumed a heatleader role for the Tigers this season – with the responsibility of winning races.
The Ashfield side are aiming to bag their first away points at Edinburgh on Friday before hosting their biggest rivals on Sunday.
Brennan says he can handle the pressure that comes with one of the more senior roles in the side.
He said: “It has been hard, there is expectation but mostly from myself. It’s where I want to be but it’s going to be a big learning curve. I’m ready for it.
“I’m enjoying life at Glasgow. The club is so focused on being successful and they want the best for me.
“I think we have an awesome team, everyone is pushing each other to do well. Everyone talks about having a cool team spirit in every team, but we genuinely do.
“We will keep fighting for results everywhere we go. We have a big weekend ahead against Edinburgh.
“These are the meetings that the fans look forward to the most. Last year we had two semi-finals with the Monarchs, we won one and lost one over two legs.
“There’s not much between the sides so we are in for two tough meetings. Armadale is such a cool little track and we are all looking forward to being there.”
Glasgow go into the weekend with six points from their three meetings so far.
Edinburgh have only raced twice in the SGB Championship – beating Berwick in their sole home league meeting so far.
