Cook: Team spirit ‘key’ to away successes

GLASGOW captain Craig Cook says the Tigers’ team spirit is the key factor in their away successes this season.

The Ashfield side travel to Scunthorpe on Friday night in the SGB Championship unbeaten in their last four meetings on the road – three of which they have won.

Sixteen-year-old Australian hotshot Connor Bailey will make his debut for Glasgow at reserve, while Leicester’s Ryan Douglas steps in as a guest for Rasmus Jensen with the Dane racing in a fixture in his home country.

Cook said: “There’s a great atmosphere in the team at the minute. It’s a key ingredient to a winning team – to have a good bunch of guys throughout.”

The Englishman also takes part in the Grand Prix qualifier in Glasgow on Saturday – with the goal of making the 2020 series very much on his mind.
