BROWN: NO MORE “SLIP UPS”

TEAM boss Cami Brown has warned his side of no more “slip ups” as they bid for a play-off place.

The Allied Vehicles Tigers take on Berwick in the Cab Direct Championship at Ashfield on Friday night.

It comes less than a week following a shock Scottish Cup home defeat at the hands of Edinburgh.

Tigers are currently second in the league table but Brown knows his side must not make any further mistakes on their home circuit.

He said: “The bottom line is that we cannot afford any more slip ups in the race for the top four.

“We have to remain unbeaten at home and win the bonus points where we can. We may even need something out of the three away meetings remaining at Edinburgh, Redcar and Plymouth.

“It’s going to be very tight until the very last meeting. There’s one thing for sure, there will be a few plot twists along the way.

“Berwick are always a dangerous proposition at Ashfield. They’ve just reached the KO Cup final after knocking out Poole, it’s a wonderful achievement for the club.

“It underlines that they are a very capable side this season and it will be another big challenge for the boys.

“Like Edinburgh, they are very familiar with Ashfield and we’ll need to be on our guard.

“We will need all the boys to continue the form they showed at Workington and Oxford. This group have proved what they can do, now we need it on a consistent basis.”
