GLASGOW boss Cami Brown praised his “red-hot” team after they comfortably defeated Scunthorpe.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers booked their place in the BSN Series final with a 55-35 win over the Scorpions at Ashfield last night (Friday).
It meant they wrapped it by 22 points on aggregate in another powerhouse home performance.
Brown said: “That was seriously impressive from the boys. I know we look strong at Ashfield but that was a red-hot display.
“Apart from Ryan Douglas, who was outstanding, all our lads were terrific.
“Some of the racing was out of the top draw. Chris Harris and Tom Brennan both produced devastating passes, especially Chris inflicting the only defeat on Ryan.
“We are now in the final and that’s a great start to the season. It will be tough whether we face Redcar or Poole. But to reach a final in the first two months of the season is excellent.
“Our man of the match had to be young Ace Pijper. For a 16-year-old to come out and get two 5-1s is fairytale stuff. He is doing such a great job for us.
“But this is a great boost for all the lads to get through and show what a great side we have this year.”
Douglas ensured that none of the Tigers went through the meeting unbeaten with a high-class display for 14 points.
The highlights of the clash were undoubtedly Pijper’s paid eight while Marcin Nowak also weighed in with another vital paid nine.
Brown added: “I can’t fault any of the boys. I felt Claus Vissing was unfairly excluded in Heat 14, so both he and Lee Complin could have ended with more points.”
