GLASGOW boss Cami Brown admitted it was “hugely disappointing” to lose at Redcar.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers went down by 50-40 in the Cab Direct Championship at the ECCO Arena.
In a topsy turvy encounter with seven maximum heat wins in total, the home side were in control from the halfway mark.
Tigers also lost James Pearson with leg and hip injuries after two nasty crashes.
Brown said: “It’s another hugely disappointing result. It was a case of too many last places.
“Like the previous night, there were only a couple of positives. Jack Smith rode well again while Leon Flint is almost getting there I think. He’s making little improvements.
“Chris Harris was back to his best and was actually frustrated to not score more. He was disappointed to drop points and I want the boys to be that way.
“But that’s about it I’m afraid. The rest of the boys need to up their game.”
The Tigers suffered a mid-meeting slump and trailed by 16 points after Heat 10.
They did fight back with three late 5-1s but by then the result was already in the bag for the home side.
Brown added: “The boys were 100 per cent trying hard. I felt James Pearson was really unlucky. He was in a safe second behind in his first race and the chain snapped. That cost us two points.
“He then fell again in his next in a scoring position and that cost us another two points. Take those four points and it’s 46-44 and a much closer meeting. There are fine margins in speedway.
“James is pretty sore. He’s got a bit of numbness in his leg and his hip is also painful. The paramedic and I thought it was probably best he didn’t ride on.
“Their middle pairing destroyed us like the same at Edinburgh the night before.
“We’ve got to eliminate the silly falls and mistakes, we’ve got to cut them all out.
“There’s no point moaning. We are not gating well enough as a team and that’s the biggest problem.
“We know what the problems are and the boys have to solve those issues immediately.”
