GLASGOW boss Cami Brown is expecting “fireworks” in a feisty Scunthorpe return clash.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers take on the Scorpions tonight (Friday) at Ashfield Stadium in the second leg of their BSN Series semi-final.
The home side lead the tie by two points but Brown warns that Scunny will be fired-up to get revenge after a first leg laced with drama.
He said: “We might be two points in front after a great win away from home. But this semi-final is far from over.
“Scunthorpe will come to Ashfield gunning for us. There were a lot of handbags at their place. I think they will come back wanting a bit of fireworks.
“Our boys are ready for it to be honest. I don’t think this Tigers side is to be messed with this year, they are all tough nuts.”
After their first leg 46-44 win at the Eddie Wright Raceway, Glasgow are in the box seat to reach the BSN final and face either Redcar or Poole.
But Brown added: “Scunthorpe are a very good side and have Ashfield track experts. We certainly won’t underestimate them in any way.
“This is a great opportunity to reach a final. We look very strong on our home track but this is our biggest test yet.
“The only slight issue is that we’ve had a lack of meetings at home. The boys haven’t had competitive action at Ashfield since April 28.
“But they’ve been all racing constantly and Tom (Brennan) and Ace (Pijper) have been up to the track to practice. I’m confident we can finish the job but it will be tough.”
