YOUNG Tiger Ace Pijper is delighted to return from injury for the crucial Play-Off decider.
The hot prospect makes his comeback from an elbow fracture for the huge Cab Direct Championship clash with Oxford tomorrow night (Tuesday).
Pijper, 16, has been a revelation for the Allied Vehicles Tigers and came through an individual meeting in the Netherlands on Saturday without any issues.
He said: “It was good because I did some practice and I was a bit hesitant to start with.
“But after the second practice I was fully OK. I was back on it again with no pain or lasting problems. The muscle was a little sore but really no issue at all.
“I had a wee fracture in my right elbow after the crash in the home meeting against Oxford.
“I’m really pleased to be back, it’s a huge boost for me. First meeting is a big one against Oxford in the Play-Offs. It’s about giving 110 per cent now, every point counts.
“The main thing for me now is to try and finish on a high. But you never can predict speedway. You can be good one day and it can go wrong so quickly the next day.
“You have to try and just ride the wave and accept what happens. I just give 100 per cent and hopefully learn and score more points every time I race.
“It was a shame Marcin (Nowak) left because we got on so well. But Vadim (Tarasenko) has come in and his speed is crazy.
“The team has worked well together all season. But now we need to find something extra.
“It’s tough without Claus (Vissing). But we are all desperate to make the final so hopefully he can return by then and that would make us even stronger.”
