GLASGOW boss Cami Brown admitted he was “proud” of his team despite BSN Final defeat.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers beat Poole 48-42 in the second leg at Ashfield Stadium.
But they still went down by 28 points on aggregate after being thrashed on the south coast in the first leg last month.
Brown said: “It was always going to be a massive uphill task. But we wanted to win at home in front of our fans, so it was job done.
“Poole are a great side and they have now won all five trophies since returning to the Championship at the start of last season.
“The Pirates are the most successful club in British speedway this century. They have got such a strong management and you have to admire that.
“They are the benchmark for this league and we have to learn from them and fast.
“It’s obviously disappointing to lose any final but now we must move on and focus on the league. We are in second place and need to keep pushing.
“But when we face Poole again we cannot allow ourselves to lose at their track so badly again. The last three seasons we’ve been very poor at their place and that’s where the damage has been done.
“So we know what to expect now and next time we have to get it right if we get to the Play-Offs and face them.”
