Tigers owner Gerry Facenna has asked for the Tigers fans to come out in force this Friday after weeks of home rain-offs.
The red and white stripes face Berwick Bandits in the first meeting at Ashfield since the Knockout Cup match against the same opponents.
“It’s been a tough few weeks for us all with the weather and forecasts, we’ve just not had any luck at all.
“It’s always a really difficult decision for us and one we don’t take lightly. Especially on Friday past, we wanted to try give it every chance as we know how frustrating it is for the fans as much as it is for us but ultimately we had to make a decision.
“It’s frustrating for the riders too, they are all itching to go and desperate for the track time but there’s one thing we have no control over and that’s the weather!
“This Friday we’re hopeful that the forecast looks better and we will be back in action and the fans will pack the place to back us.
“There’s still costs involved in matches even when called off, obviously with no income coming in, so it’s important for us to get back on track in more ways than one this Friday”.
