Two To Debut This Weekend

Two riders will make their home debuts on Sunday as the Western Commercial Tigers take on the Redcar Bears in the Premier League. A double change was forced after a poor start to the season saw the opening League fixture go the way of Leicester. Czech rider Filip Sitera and Englishman Chris Mills will ride and will look to add some solidity to a side that has been relying too much on the top three riders. Redcar provide the opposition and although in the past they have expressed a dislike for the circuit, on this occasion however they will come full of confidence and Co-Promoter Stewart Dickson expects another tough encounter:

“I hope that our two new signings will have a positive impact on the team. I do feel that our balance is right now but we will only see how that pans out on the track. Neither Filip nor Chris have been at our track regularly so it will be a bit of a learning curve for them but I suspect that as a team we will be better balanced and hopeully that should lead to a win. I do rate Redcar as a side, and although in the past theyhave perormed poorly at our place I don’t expect that from them on this occasion.

I wouldn’t say our season rests on the outcome of this meeting but there is little doubt that two home defeats to start with would make our chances of a place in the top six very difficult, so the pressure is on. We have also undertaken some work on the track which I think should lead to some exciting racing again, so I hope everyone comes along and sees a meeting to be proud of this coming Sunday at 400pm”
