‘Tremendous’ line-up as Glasgow kick off Jubilee League campaign

SPEEDWAY fans will be treated to “tremendous” entertainment in Glasgow this Friday as the Tigers open their summer Jubilee League campaign.

That is according to boss Cami Brown, who is prepping his side for a visit from Berwick.

The Bandits are lead by spectacular former Grand Prix star Chris ‘Bomber’ Harris – who is in red-hot form this season.

And with the Ashfield track continuing to draw plaudits from the world’s best riders, Brown expects more on-track fireworks on Friday night.

He said: “We want to get people along for some great racing and that is what we want on Friday.

“It’s the school holidays, it’s a new competition and fans are seeing some tremendous riders.

“Bomber is flying at the moment and anyone who has watched our own Ben Basso at our place knows he is worth the admission alone. Hopefully we get more of that.

“It isn’t a league meeting but the pressure is not off – the boys will still take it 100% seriously and we want to do well in this tournament.

“Berwick won’t be pushovers, guys like Leon Flint and Ricky Wells know our track well and we will give them respect, but if we can ride the way we have been at home we can get the win.”

Tickets for the meeting are available online.
