TEAM boss Cami Brown admitted it was a “challenging night” after a heavy defeat at Oxford.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers went down 55-35 in the Cab Direct Championship at Cowley last night (Weds).
Oxford took control in the early stages and pulled away comfortably. Tigers did grab a tactical substitute maximum race win from Chris Harris and Leon Flint in Heat 9 but it wasn’t enough to stop the home side.
Brown said: “We stayed with Oxford in the early stages but we couldn’t get enough heat advantages.
“To be honest we had too many passengers and last places again. That seems to have been our problem all season.
“It’s a very tough place to come right now. The Cheetahs are flying and it was a challenging night for us.
“The boys battled in every race but there wasn’t enough back up for Chris even though Leon, Anders Rowe and James Pearson worked hard all night.
“We have left ourselves a mountain to climb at Ashfield on Friday to win the aggregate bonus point.
“But we will keep fighting this season. It’s sure to be a cracking encounter, it always is with Oxford.”
