Sunday’s speedway meeting between Glasgow Tigers and Rye House Rockets was postponed due to rain.
The fixture was called off after overnight downpours left the track waterlogged.
With further wet weather predicted for the rest of the afternoon, the decision was taken to put the meeting off before riders and fans had started to travel to the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium.
It means the Tigers will have to wait another week to get their Premier League campaign under way, when Plymouth Devils visit this Sunday. Then, on Tuesday May 12th, the Sky Sports cameras are in town for the meeting with Sheffield Tigers (7.30pm start).
A rescheduling date for the match against Rye House Rockets is yet to be confirmed.
