TEAM boss Cami Brown expects his side to “fight for everything” in a vital clash at Oxford.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers go to Cowley seeking a crucial first away win of the season in the Cab Direct Championship.
Despite leading by eight points at Berwick on Saturday night, Brown’s side were pipped by 46-44 and he wants that disappointment to motivate his squad.
He said: “We don’t have time to feel sorry for ourselves. It’s another meeting at Oxford and another opportunity to get more vital points on the board.
“It’s fair to say we’ve not hit the heights so far. But the boys want to get it right and get the results we need. We need to fight for everything. Simple as that.
“It’s a big few days ahead after the frustrating defeat at Berwick.
“Perhaps the most frustrating element is that I feel we are a whisker away of getting the wins we require.
“It’s just the odd silly heat setback here and there that is costing us big time.
“I don’t think there’s an awful lot to choose between most of the teams in the league. Obviously Poole are setting the pace but it’s close throughout.
“The boys need to up their game. It’s been very up and down from all the boys so far this season. We need them to all perform on the same night.
“The inconsistency is very frustrating for us all. We’ve shown at some times that we can be a really good side individually. But it’s getting to the point where we have to come up with strong results if we are going to make it into the top four. That starts at Oxford.”
