TEAM boss Cami Brown says his team “need to deliver more” ahead of a vital clash with Workington.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers take on the Comets in the Cab Direct Championship at Ashfield on Friday night.
Brown’s side have started their Play-Offs bid in style but he insists that every rider still needs to improve.
He said: “It’s been an up and down start to the season for us. But the league is our focus and we need to hit our stride now.
“The home defeat to Edinburgh was a difficult one to take. But the boys responded really well against Plymouth. That was the reaction we were looking for.
“After a home defeat there is always a great deal of noise. I understand the frustration of the fans, losing at Ashfield cuts deep. I’m still a fan, I know how it feels.
“There is always an immediate clamour for changes in the team.
“We had to see what the reaction was from the side and, I have to say, it was excellent. All the boys rolled their sleeves up and wanted to make amends.
“The younger lads in the side have taken time to settle so far in 2026. But they have all shown at times what they are capable of.
“The club stands firm that this is a very good team and every rider needs to deliver more. If they can do that, we can reach the Play-Offs.
“But we just need to get behind the boys, give them the proper support and see their belief grow and prosper.
“Last week underlined that philosophy. It was Sam Hagon and Freddy Hodder who won us the meeting, they came up with the key moments.
“The next challenge is Workington. This is a Comets side packed with riders with ability who like Ashfield. It’s another very hard battle we face.”
