GLASGOW face an uphill battle to qualify for the next round of the KO Cup after a 16-point defeat to Edinburgh in the first leg on Friday.
The Tigers were always playing catch-up at Armadale against a Monarchs side who had 12 of the 15 heat winners.
None of the seven Glasgow riders managed to hit double figures – in stark contrast to the win at the same venue in the league fixture earlier in the season.
5-1s for the hosts in heats 13 and 15 doubled the deficit to make Saturday’s second leg even tougher for Cami Brown’s men.
