TEAM boss Cami Brown knows his side are in for an opening “acid test” at Edinburgh.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers face the Monarchs in the opening BSN Series Northern group fixture of the season at Armadale on Friday night.
It’s the first time that Brown’s side will be in action as a team and he’s excited to see them perform.
He said: “It’s never easy going to Armadale, it will be an early acid test. But we will have our fans travelling through and on the third bend as usual making a lot of noise.
“Our boys have got to perform for them. We’ve got a decent record against the Monarchs recently but that means nothing now, we start from zero this season.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the lads together as a team, I’m confident we can do a good job.”
Brown knows that it will be vital for his side to hit the ground running.
He added: “We’ve got to win or keep it very tight so we can pick up the aggregate bonus point if we want to progress to the BSN final.
“Although it’s our first team meeting, most of the boys havE been riding for other teams and in their own countries. They should be race sharp.
“Our reserves haven’t had many outings although Freddy Hodder was practising this week. Hopefully we can start strong and keep that going.
“I think the Edinburgh riders are in the same position with not many competitive meetings under their belt and none at Armadale so it should be a fascinating meeting.”
