New boy Rasmus Jensen produced thrills aplenty and wonderkid Kyle Bickley had the best meeting of his career to give the home team a 56-34 win over Berwick in their opening Championship Shield meeting.
No 1 Craig Cook was in typically imperious form with a 15-point maximum, while the returning trio of Paul Starke, James Sarjeant and Claus Vissing repeatedly fought past a resilient Bandits side to land their team all three points.
It was a tough night for new reserve Luke Chessell on his return to the sport as he failed to score, though he’ll have been better for time on the bike.
