GLASGOW boss Cami Brown admits he was blown away with his side’s “super-strong” display to beat Berwick.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers won an eventful clash 58-32 against the Bandits at Ashfield on Friday night.
It means Glasgow have won the BSN Series Scottish group to progress to the semi-finals.
But it was a night laced with drama and incident, Berwick’s Jonas Knudsen and Ace Pijper taking heavy crashes.
Brown said: “It was a really hard night but a wonderful victory for the Tigers. The boys were fantastic, super-strong.
“Our best wishes go to Jonas who crashed in Heat 1. It’s a miracle that Ace walked away from his Heat 8 horrendous incident. We all feared the worst and it’s a massive relief he’s OK.
“He was fabulous until that point. To see him win Heat 2, his first win at this level, was a great moment for him and the fans. So we are delighted obviously he’s all still in one piece.
“It was also a great night for Tom Brennan to pick up the first full 15-point maximum of his career.
“It was a really polished performance and with one breathtaking win from the back in Heat 13.
“Overall it’s job done, we are through to the semis having beaten a very good side in Berwick.”
Brennan was quick to dedicate his maximum to the family of his girlfriend Kristen after her grandad and Edinburgh legend George Cummings passed away earlier this week.
He said: “It’s been a really hard week for all the Cummings family so I’d like to dedicate this to George and them all.
“They have been an amazing family to me and George was an amazing guy.”
