TEAM boss Cami Brown was delighted with another “powerhouse” display from his side.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers beat Scunthorpe 62-28 in the Cab Direct Championship at Ashfield on Saturday night.
It means Brown’s side have now closed the gap on league leaders Poole to just three points with two meetings in hand.
He said: “The team is shaping up nicely now and that was another powerhouse performance.
“To win at Redcar and then get all the points against Scunthorpe is a fantastic 48 hours for the club.
“All the boys put in a great shift again. I felt it was going to be a hard battle because Scunthorpe have strong reserves but the boys did a great job.
“Once again Chris (Harris) was impeccable with a maximum and Villads (Nagel) gets a four-ride maximum in only his fourth home meeting.
“Leon (Flint) was outstanding again and special mention for Freddy (Hodder) for an incredible ride coming from last to second in one race. His paid 10 score undoubtedly the highlight of the night.
“It was great to have a full strength side again, it’s been a long time and they really showed what they are made of.
“We have a big month ahead with a glut of home meetings coming up, three in eight days, and I feel we are approaching that period of time in great form now.”
