GLASGOW are relishing a return to full stadium capacity for the first time this season when they welcome Birmingham to Ashfield on Friday.
The Tigers last had a ‘normal’ race night for the 2019 play-off final.
With the easing of coronavirus restrictions, walk-in admissions will now be allowed along with the return of other matchday experiences inside the stadium.
Club director Peter Facenna says it is a moment the club have waited long enough for.
He said: “It’s a massive occasion for everyone at the club, being able to experience a normal race night once again.
“It has been nearly two years – 22 months to be exact – since we were last able to have the stadium at full capacity.
“Speedway is all about the atmosphere and I know how much the riders thrive off the back of having noisy stands and terraces around them as they go into battle.
“We’ve seen some classic meetings already at Ashfield this season and I expect Birmingham – with the likes of Chris Harris and Erik Riss – to add to the excitement.”
With Ulrich Ostergaard now ruled out for the rest of the season, following his crash at Edinburgh, the Tigers have called in Poole star Stevie Worrall as a guest for the meeting.
Glasgow go into the meeting three points clear at the top of the SGB Championship.
