Marcin Nowak can’t wait for Tigers Comeback

POLISH sensation Marcin Nowak admits he can’t wait to “feel the atmosphere” at Ashfield Stadium again.

The exciting racer has re-joined the Tigers after a sensational spell at the club in 2021.

Phil Lanning caught up with the passionate Pole with the new season just 75 days away…

1. You must be happy to rejoin Glasgow. Did you want to come back after such a short time in 2021?

I really wanted to come back and I’m glad I did after a year off. I can’t wait to feel the atmosphere at Glasgow Stadium.

2. How much do you like Glasgow track?

I really like it. I think it’s one of the best tracks for passing. It’s good because after losing starts you have a chance to earn points, and it’s good looking for fans.

3. What do you think of the team? Chris Harris, Tom Brennan, Ben Basso and Claus Vissing – exciting top five including yourself?

This team looks very strong. Experience with young, it always works really well. I am working hard now to make good points for the season.

4. You have quit racing in Sweden to race in Glasgow is this correct?

Yes, I have decided not to ride in Sweden. I have signed a contract in Poland, Stal Rzeszów is my club in the Polish league and the Tigers in the UK.

5. What are your aims at Glasgow?

The British League is very difficult when you start for the first time, the tracks are different from Poland and I must learn a lot. I have small experience and I know what I need to work on. My goal is to please the fans with my racing and I know that then the results will come.

6. You clearly like the Glasgow track but need more experience on away tracks?

The track in Glasgow is probably the same as Polish tracks and I really like this circuit. My score on away tracks is bad. I know this and I will work very hard to change this and make better points.

7. What will you do now before the season starts?

I am now preparing for the 2023 season. I do CrossFit, I run a lot and whenever the weather is good I ride motocross. I also work in the workshop preparing motorcycles for the next season. Of course, I also make up for time with my family because in the season there is often no time
