Tigers owner Gerry Facenna has called on the Glasgow fans to rally round the team in their bid for the league title and to “paint the place red” on Friday night.
“It’s been a fantastic season; the fans have been incredible right the way through from the first match to the last.
“We really need the fans to back the team on Friday to give them that push to go on and win the title.
“The guys know and feel the support, I can’t think, from memory, of a time where the fans, the club and the riders were as bonded and as together as they are now.
“The red of the Glasgow fans has been prominent all over the UK this year with our great travelling support. Wherever we have raced this year you can always see them and hear them, I really think that the riders are motivated by that and it has contributed to us getting to the final.
“On Friday it would be great if we could ‘paint the place red’, let’s pack the place and all dress in red and create a wonderful atmosphere for our guys.
“I know all of them are desperate to win it and I know all the fans are too. Together, let’s get them over the line!”
Gerry has also urged fans to buy tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, particularly for the seated area;
“As the fans know, our seating area has a capacity of 350 tickets and these are normally available to buy on the gate. If the tickets continue to sell at the rate they have been going at though, there’s a good chance that these may sell out.
“I would suggest anyone looking for a seated ticket buys one in advance to avoid any disappointment of missing out.
“Mon’ the Tigers, we are Glasgow!”
