TEAM boss Cami Brown admitted that “too many last places” cost his side at Edinburgh.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers went down by 50-39 at Armadale and failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the BSN Series.
After a bright start, it all went wrong and 5-1s for the home side in Heat 3 and 5 put them in control of the contest and they never looked likely to relinquish that grip.
Brown said: “If you look at before Heat 13, we had won seven heats to Edinburgh’s five. But we were miles behind because we’d had far too many last places. That’s the story of the meeting.
“Going into Heat 15 we had won seven heats each. That’s the problem. We had 10 last places and they had two 5-1s. It’s just not good enough.
“There were tiny bits of positivity. Leon Flint in his last few races looked like the rider we hoped we’d get at the start of the season.
“Paul Starke got excluded in Heat 1 and it was a dreadful decision. He never touched Lasse Fredriksen, and Lasse admitted that as well.
“Paul finished with six from four and two good heat wins. He looked a lot faster on his new engine.
“Chris Harris blew an engine to bits. Steve Worrall was hot and cold and James Pearson had a difficult night. Up until tonight James has been excellent so I can’t be too harsh on him.”
Now Tigers go to Redcar on Saturday in the Cab Direct Championship bidding to find some form.
Brown added: “It’s going to be a difficult one at Redcar because they are a good team. But we will need to do something.”
