We know that you’ve moved from Moto X and Longtrack to ride speedway, tell us a bit about your racing background?
“I raced moto x for a fair few years and won a few titles then switched disciplines and had a go at longtrack and really enjoyed it. It was Mick Holder (Chris’ dad) who got me onto a speedway bike and I took to it well and loved it!”
How long have you wanted to travel to Europe and race bikes?
“Ever since I started racing speedway 2 1/2 years ago, that was when I began to see other Aussie riders jetting off to the UK and Europe and I’ve always wanted to follow suit and enjoy the uk speedway lifestyle”
What riders do you know who already race in the UK?
“I actually know most of the Aussie riders over there already, and am real pleased to now have the opportunity to live the dream myself”
How is your preparation going?
“Yea, my preparation has been going pretty good after a bit of a wait for the work permit. Am just getting ready for the trip in the next week or so and am really excited about the whole thing”
What equipment do you plan to bring with you?
“I’m travelling relatively light and bringing 1 PJR engine over and 2 carbys. I have bought 2 rolling chassis and another 2 engines which are already in the UK”
What have you heard about Glasgow – the City, the race track, the fans?
“I’ve heard all good things about everyone at Glasgow the riders ,the officials and the fans . only bad thing is the cold weather right haha”
What can fans expect from you as a rider?
“As a rider I will always give 110% and never give up no matter what”
Any message to the Glasgow fans?
