Danish rider Henning Bager was the first signing that Co-Promoters Alan Dick and Stewart Dickson made in 2000 and it is a full circle completed with the Dane returning to Ashfield for the remainder of the 2012 season. Chris Mills is the rider to lose his spot to accommodate Henning, who comes in on a 5.76 average to bring some solidity to the middle order of the team. Stewart Dickson is hopeful that this move will add a few crucial points to the teams score on a race day:
“We all know that we are just a bit short in a couple of areas of the team and hopefully this addresses one part of it. He will come straight into the team for Friday and make his home debut against Edinburgh on Sunday. We thank Chris for his efforts as a Tiger and wish him well for the future. Given that we lost at home last time out to them I am hopeful this move will make a difference and I urge everyone to get behind the lad again and hopefully he can make a difference to our results.”
A full press release will be issued later on Wednesday.
