Glasgow to host 2022 Speedway Grand Prix Challenge

GLASGOW is to host the 2022 Speedway Grand Prix Challenge meeting in another major coup for the club.

The event is the final qualifying round for the world championship series and an opportunity for riders to book their place in the 2023 competition.

The event, which is organised by the FIM, will come to the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium on Saturday August 20.

Past winners include Bartosz Zmarzlik, Patrik Dudek, Matej Zagar, Niels Kristian Iversen and Antonio Lindback.

The announcement of the meeting follows on from Glasgow hosting two earlier Grand Prix qualifying rounds in recent seasons, as well as two Great Britain test matches – including this year’s against Poland.

More details about the event will follow closer to the time.
