TEAM boss Cami Brown admitted he was disappointed as his team suffered a crucial defeat at Edinburgh.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers went down 49-41 at local rivals Monarchs in the Cab Direct Championship at Armadale.
Chris Harris delivered another sublime performance and his last race win over Josh Pickering ensured that Tigers picked up the aggregate bonus point.
Brown said: “We are all very disappointed obviously. The boys knew we needed to get a result but we just weren’t good enough.
“The story of our season has been too many last places and it was the same script again.
“We won eight out of 15 races but still lost by eight points. Chris was outstanding again and I felt Anders (Rowe) and Matic (Ivacic) also did a good job.
“Considering it was his first full meeting at Armadale and he had clutch problems in two rides, Matic did very well.
“Our guests Ben Barker and Max Perry also had a go. But Edinburgh is always a tough place to go and it was a bridge too far for us.
“There was a brilliant travelling support of fans on the third bend. We are so down that we couldn’t get a result for them.
“We did want to go and thank the fans after the last race but unfortunately with a junior meeting on we were unable to go across.
“We now need a miracle to make the play-offs. But we will keep fighting against Oxford at Ashfield on Sunday.”
