GLASGOW boss Cami Brown has vowed his side will “work and fight harder” for the fans.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers suffered their worst defeat for almost a decade with a 62-28 BSN Final loss at Poole on Wednesday night.
They now face Redcar at Ashfield Stadium tomorrow night in a crucial Cab Direct Championship clash.
Brown admits that his team are hell-bent on making up for the disappointing result on the south coast.
He said: “We are all devastated, make no mistake about that. We know that the fans are gutted and hurting and so are we.
“That result at Poole was not good enough. We were well beaten and it’s incredibly frustrating. We will fight for every point, nothing less is acceptable at Glasgow.
“But we cannot afford any sort of hangover from that. We need to close the door on it, learn from it and move on.
“Trust me, we will work and fight harder for the fans. The boys tried everything to get out the starts at Poole, but it just didn’t work.
“We have to re-focus for a really tough meeting against Redcar at Ashfield. It’s a must-win for the club.”
Although Brown was disappointed in his team’s performance at Wimborne Road, he also heaped praise on Poole’s continued winning streak.
He added: “We obviously needed to be more competitive. But Poole are outstanding on their home patch. They are dialled in and so difficult to match out of the starts.
“They are the most successful club this century for a reason. They continue to be the benchmark that we need to match. We will strive to do that. We won’t stop fighting until we beat them.”
