BROWN: “HUGE NIGHT” AHEAD

GLASGOW team boss Cami Brown says his team must ignore the hype and get results.

The Allied Vehicles Tigers face Oxford in a crucial Cab Direct Championship top of the table clash tonight (Friday) at Ashfield.

It will see the return of Pairs winners Chris Harris and Ben Basso plus the debut of superstar Vadim Tarasenko.

But Brown has told his team to just focus on getting a win over their title rivals.

He said: “Despite all the hype, we need a win. I am a fan at heart and I can feel the buzz around the club.

“Not only do we get to give Chris and Ben a brilliant homecoming but we also get a debut of Vadim.

“It’s just sensational for Glasgow to have genuine world superstar riders in the team.

“It has actually been an incredible fortnight for the Tigers. Chris and Ben produced a fabulous night for the club and our brilliant fans.

“When it came to the crunch, they delivered big time in two very fierce races for the semi-final and final.

“The signing of Bomber during the winter certainly raised some eyebrows after his below par season with us in 2018. But I knew how determined he was to do a great job for us and he has been an outstanding acquisition.

“There’s no doubt about it, there’s never a dull moment with Chris and Ben on track!

“But Friday night is all about getting a big win before the Play-Offs, it’s another huge night for the club.”

Claus Vissing misses his first meeting of the season due to a knee injury sustained in Denmark on Wednesday night.
