TEAM boss Cami Brown is happy with a “win or bust” clash with rivals Edinburgh.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers go to Armadale on Friday night in a BSN Series decider.
After the dramatic Super Heat win for Edinburgh at Ashfield earlier this month, it now comes down to one meeting to decide which club qualifies for the semi-finals.
Brown said: “It’s not the result we wanted at home obviously. But at least our task is clear at Armadale, it’s win or bust and I’m happy with that.
“The target is 46 points and that’s it. If we manage to do that, we go through, simple.
“It won’t be easy. We’ve not got anywhere near our top form yet this season. Edinburgh have looked promising at times but have also struggled.
“It’s a hard one to call on current form, it will come down to who turns up and delivers on the night.
“Over the past four seasons we’ve met 10 times at Armadale and it’s 5-5 in wins, so we’ve got a decent record there. But obviously that means nothing on Friday night.
“It’s now up to our boys to show what they are made of. If they can get 46 points and take the win and qualify for the semis, the fans will love it.”
Craig Cook will guest for the Monarchs after his excellent 14 points for them at Oxford on Wednesday night.
TIGERS: Chris Harris, Paul Starke, Leon Flint, James Pearson, Steve Worrall, Jack Smith, Ace Pijper.
MONARCHS: Craig Cook (guest), Lasse Fredriksen, Kye Thomson, Paco Castagna, Justin Sedgmen, Max James, Connor Coles.
*Glasgow then go to Redcar on Saturday afternoon needing a decent result after a below par start to their league championship defence.
Brown added: “We weren’t good enough at Workington and we lost the aggregate bonus point.
“We need to find some momentum now. That starts with a win at Redcar. That would really kick start our league play-off push.”
