It was Round 3 of the British Youth Championship and also the third running of the event at Glasgow.
There was a good turn out of riders although unfortunately we lost two riders in the warm up with falls for Vinnie Foord and Bailey Fellows.

Sam McGurk inflicted the only defeat of the day on Elliot Kelly in the race that mattered, the final, having lost to him in a great heat 9 battle. Those two were in a class of their own, although Max James was a competitive third. Alex Goldsburgh had started with two wins but came third in heat 9 and then reared at the start of his last, costing him a final place.

Archie Freeman won all of his 5 races to take the 150cc class, he defeated Sonny Springer, who was also unbeaten at that point, in the final. Gregor Millar took third.
There were a number of fallers in this class with Jack Wright twice hitting the deck and unfortunately leaving the track in the ambulance after a heat 31 fall. Ashton Vale also had to pull out after a fall .

There was a great battle between Nathan Ablitt and Jordan Palin in the qualifying heats, with Ablitt taking it 2-1. In the final, Ablitt again took the victory, with local lad Josh McPherson taking third after Sam Hagon stopped in the final.

Leon Flint took his third win in the series with a maximum although he didn’t have it all his own way having to come from third to first in heat 5, after Dan Thompson made a mistake on the last bend.
They finished again in that order in the final with Dan’s twin Joe finishing third.
