Brennan back on bike as Tigers star injury fears allayed

TOM Brennan has confirmed he is fit to continue racing after fears he may have broken his hand in a crash at Newcastle.

The Glasgow No 5 withdrew from the Tigers’ win on Tyneside on Sunday.

But having had the injury checked out, it has been confirmed nothing is broken.

In a post on Facebook he said: “Would just like to thank you all for the wishes after my crash yesterday at Newcastle.

“At first we had a bit of scare being told it was a possible broken scaphoid but happy to say it was a scare only.

“Taken a bit of a knock to the wrist but shouldn’t be too much of a problem as we head to Peterborough ready for tonight.

“Glad the boys managed to get the win yesterday! Thanks again for all the support! Tom.”
