GLASGOW boss Cami Brown says his team are in for a “tough test” against unbeaten Berwick.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers take on the Bandits in a crucial BSN Series clash at Ashfield Stadium tonight (Friday).
While Glasgow have only completed one meeting, Berwick have reeled off three successive wins under new boss Stewart Dickson.
Brown knows his team need to be sharp, admitting: “Overall it’s been an eventful start to the campaign for the right and wrong reasons.
“The truth is that we need to get meetings under our belt, some of the boys need races to get sharper.
“It’s frustrating that Leon (Flint) misses tonight while on Great Britain duty. He definitely needs to get dialled in.
“Paul (Starke) readily admits that he still feels a bit rusty while Ace (Pijper) has also not had enough laps yet this season.
“I feel all the team need to get a couple of strong home wins in the bag to get the confidence up. But we are ready to go for the Bandits.
“The other issue is that we have an ongoing situation with Lee Complin and his 30-day SCB suspension.
“For legal reasons, we obviously cannot go into much detail about that because he faces a disciplinary hearing. The club will make a statement once that hearing has taken place.
“We are grateful in the meantime that we have a facility to use guests and that Sam Hagon has taken the first two bookings for us. It’s also good to see our old pal Claus Vissing coming in for Leon tonight.
“Stewart Dickson knows Ashfield very well and he has assembled a very solid team for 2024. At this moment they are unbeaten this season and will arrive at Ashfield with lots of belief. That means we are in for another very tough test.”
