GLASGOW boss Cami Brown has told his side to “beware” of the improving Bandits.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers take on Berwick in a crunch BSN Series clash at Ashfield on Sunday night (6pm).
Brown’s side are unbeaten so far after wins at Edinburgh and Shielfield Park in the Scottish group. But he’s wary of their rivals.
He said: “There’s not a lot between any of us. Edinburgh and Berwick are both good sides. I think we did very well to win at both tracks.
“But I’ve told the boys to beware of the Bandits. They are very capable of coming back to Ashfield and doing the same to us.
“Berwick are a strong team. They have a terrific spearhead with Craig Cook and Peter Kildemand. Plus Drew Kemp is flying at the moment.
“Our boys have had a severe lack of track time at Ashfield. We’ve only had one meeting and lost that to Edinburgh in the Scottish Cup.
“It’s been such an odd start to the season with three wins away from home and one defeat at home. But that has to change on Sunday night.
“A win against the Bandits would see us reach the semi-finals and maintain our strong start to the year.”
Brown was also eager to talk up the form of his own team, especially the outstanding Dan Thompson who won the British Championship semi-final with a 15-point maximum.
He added: “Dan has been terrific. It was his second max of the week after doing the same for us at Edinburgh.
“But I’m also delighted to see Leon Flint also scoring heavily and also qualify for the British Final.
“I just want the boys to get more laps in at Ashfield. We have two meetings in five days against Berwick and Edinburgh and we need two home wins.”
